THE NEW PETER PARKER?

I'm hearing rumors that this guy might be our new Spider Man. Is this a good idea?

  1. WOW, as if Spider Man wasn't emo and full of angst already. That doesn't sound like the best idea to me, but it would probably sell tickets!

  2. Since when was Spider Man's target audience 13-14 year old girls?

  3. He's actually not a bad actor, people are judging him based on a poor character that he's even called vapid (he's not a fan of the books, but obviously good at finding a franchise that will bring in the money).

  4. I know a lot of people over 20 (even adults) who read the twilight books after but also BEFORE the movie craze and they all enjoyed them a lot. It's only for 13-14 year old girl if you get deceived by the hype machine they created around Robert Pattinson to sell the movie. In the books, there are violent fight scenes(including a beheading) and some graphic explanation of sexual intercourse.

What I'm trying to say is disagree with this rumor because you don't like the actor, not because he's playing a character in a movie aimed at little girls based on books that are for everybody.

With that said, I don't like the idea of him playing Parker, simply because he doesn't fit the part. McGuire had this perfect nerd face that Pattison simply doesn't have, especially since his biggest role is that of a pretty boy. I'd search around instead of trying to cash on Twilight's popularity.

  5. He's an awful, awful actor. I don't even like Spiderman and the idea of Robert Pattinson playing him makes me dislike him even more.

  6. I hadn't heard that until now. Bad choice. I'd give the part of spidey to....bill murray!

  7. I think he's terrible. I find him to be a bad actor and just not right for the part. Another rumor going around is that Marc Webb (500 days of summer) is going to be the new director with a script by Shane Salerno (zodiac), both of those are great choices in my book, making me think they're choice of actors will be better than mr. twilight.
