COVER TUNES?

Over the years Powerman 5000 has done a few cover tunes. Bjorks 'Army of Me', the Cars 'Good Times Roll' and of course FGTH's 'Relax'.

We have been thinking about taking on another. Any suggestions?

  3. Billy Idol's "Blue Highway" or "Catch My Fall" would be amazing.

For that matter, you could also kickass with Still In Hollywood by Concrete Blonde, or God Is A Bullet.

  23. i actually like anima's. Static X cover would be awesome! And an Party Hard - Andrew WK would be pretty cool too. I still think if you completely changed Just Breath - Pearl Jam, it would sound cool. Dont keep it slow tho. speed it up to like a Supernova Goes Pop style.

  27. So, this is a lyric from a german Punk band: Zaunpfahl

    (---> germen Lyric)

    Enough is insufficient

    I believe what I hear
    See what I think
    Loosing and winning
    Calm down and destroy
    I mean what I fell
    I’m catching what I love
    Sweating and freezing

I am that what I don’t want to be
    Listening because I have too
    Wanna learn and forget
    Living just onto my desire
    I lie because it’s better
Walk off before you catch me so
Living so how it fits for me
    An unlimited egoist

    I saw enough
    It happens much
    Said enough
    Asked insufficient
    I saw enough
    A coming and going
Asked too much and said insufficient
    (2 x)

    I’m coming and going
    Stand how I live
    Sleep and awake
Lie on knees, fighting against it
    I were born and exist
    Am alive, vegetate
    I am sick and survive
    Lying in dying and go

    Ref. (2 x)

    (saw enough)
    An unlimited egoist
    Living just onto my desire
    (saw enough)
As long as one catch me so
I impel further so it’s suit for me!

This is a translation. Hope it works a bit... Maybe you like it.

  37. Safety Dance - Men Without Hats

  38. I've gotta say that your newer style would fit with Ramones, which I'd say a PM5K version of "Beat on the Brat" would be amazing. Or "Suzy Is a Headbanger". Great songs.

Or just for the heck of it, one of my favorite 90's songs (that's the new 80's): Red Hot Chili Peppers - Give it Away OR something from Nirvana.
